I'm a freelance journalist who writes about the culinary scene (and, occasionally, a few other things) for various publications, from Slate and The Wall Street Journal, to The Globe & Mail and Toronto Life.
Toronto, my hometown, is the base for my food wanderings. I'm surrounded by the cultures and, therefore, the foods of people from every corner of our planet. In short, I'm lucky to live in a city where my appetite can never outgrow the number of options to sate it.
I'm Rob, and this blog is about my love for food -- cooking it, eating it, and, most importantly, sharing it with those I care about, especially my partner, Emily.
I'll eat anything; I'll cook anything. I'm always looking forward to that next meal, flavour, technique, or challenge.
This blog is about doing just that.
